The church in Kisumu, Kenya has moved from a school room to a building in the community. People can now meet weekdays and weekends. They need bibles, tables, a road sign, a place for baptism and so much more. Donations have allowed them to reach a level where the government will register them and now they are ready for the harvest to come.

Mateyo is a 19 year old orphan in Malawi. He has no parents or money to go to university to become an accountant (his dream). I have watched him grow from a young boy. A few of us are struggling to fund his university. We need a few co-sponsors willing to help him get through the next 4 years.

The Shekinah School in Mzuzu, Malawi is finally getting a water well drilled in June. The students use an outhouse toilet at school but there is no water to wash before meals, get fresh drinking water, avoiding contaminated water. We have the funds to drill the well but we need help to buy materials and labor to build the pump house and all the equipment.

Young Evans Kisala, was living on the streets of Kisumu, a city in western Kenya, Africa. His mother who was raising the kids could no longer feed them all. Evans decided to live on the streets, sell drugs, and send a little money home to Mom. Soon it became his lifestyle. One day an American nurse on a bike stopped and asked Evans if he wanted to live in a group home with other kids. He prospered and started singing in the church worship band.

Evans continued to grow in the Lord. He was confident, having reached success in highly skilled athletics on the field playing soccer. He read, studied and eventually was ordained into the ministy. Rather than joining an established denomination Evans decided to follow his heart and embrace God's Grace as a guiding light as he began to reach out to the community. His message of Love was not received easily in Kisumu.

To build a congregation of people for the Church that Evans wanted to start required him to go door to door, not with a message of hell by an angry God but a Kingdom Life of Grace by a Loving God. Evans married Nancy and together they began to build the group soon to become the new church. They also have 2 children. They named their new church Grace Reaching Ministries.

The church began with a handful of bibles and an open field under a tree. Evans had a knack to publish photos and scriptures of his services on social media and WhatsApp. It was at this point I discovered him. I told a few people about him. They helped with donations that allowed Evans to approach a local school where his child attended, asking to rent space so the church could be out of the rain, wind, noise and heat . Starting in 2024 the church has a place indoors, blessed by God.

The new church, now meeting in a school room, have been great stewards of the small seed money we send them. They clean before and after they meet. The school has met with Evans and have asked him to teach in the school. God blessed them with an indoor room and has planted a voice to help lead children in their walk with God. The few people that donated have seen their seed money blossom in Love.

When God sends a few more people to help with small recurring donations, we will be able to provide the church with worship instruments. The congregation is a group of people of very little means. The things we take for granted in our western churches are beyond their reach. Peschell Ministry has uncovered many needs like this in Africa. Join me in the Ministry to help people in Africa. I am not talking about starving childen. It is for people just like you and me.
